Real Kaiten celebrates Mandela Day with underprivileged children

For the first time, the Nelson Mandela International Day was celebrated in Singapore on July 18th 2013 and Real Kaiten devoted its time to make the difference on children´s lives in an event led by the South African High Commission. This celebration also involved other African Missions in Singapore and was organized hand in hand with Singaporean companies, such as Real Kaiten. Together, they dedicated 67 minutes to children from underprivileged backgrounds at the CATCHplus centre, an activity centre that provides daily programmes and activities for youths aged 6 to 16 years, to help them develop new skills and keep them purposefully engaged.

This solidarity event included African cultural awareness, the distribution of gifts and snacks, donated by Real Kaiten, and ended with a birthday cake to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 95th Birthday and the 4th Nelson Mandela International Day.

“The Nelson Mandela International Day” was officially adopted by the United Nations in 2009 to honour Mandela´s legacy and inspire every individual worldwide to take action for 67 minutes to help change the world for the better and that way create a global movement for good:  http://www.mandeladay.com/
