Helping Welfare Home Cope with Rising Energy Costs in Singapore

In view of tackling global and local rising energy costs in Singapore, Real Kaiten embarked on a social initiative to help needy homes reduce operational spending on electricity. At the recommendation of NorthWest CDC, it kicked off this effort by donating 326 pieces new LED lights and installing them over 2 days at the Sunshine Welfare Action Mission (SWAMI) Home for the elderly.

Energy saving technologies are currently very expensive for social homes to adopt and therefore only available through donations. However, their use can reduce operational expenses and spare funds that can be channelled to improve the life quality of the residents, while contributing to the earth-saving agenda.

Real Kaiten hopes to repeat the initiative and inspire similar efforts by Singaporeans towards this cause.
